Designed with inspiration from the midst of change. The first bracketed serif font, Fleischman’s Roman, was designed in 1739. A new form was designed using the contrast weights of this font. Although a traditional structure was used, various innovations can be seen by looking at the lowercase letters. A calligraphic appearance was achieved by using angles on circular forms.
